Q1 2021 Performance of Top Business Finance Apps in Latin America

Latin America's business finance and solutions sector is a dynamic and rapidly evolving space, especially within the mobile app market. As we review the first quarter of 2021, Sensor Tower's data offers insights into the performance of the top applications in this category on the Android platform.

Starting with PayPal Business, the app maintained a consistent download number, hovering around 30K to 35K weekly, with a peak of 41K in mid-February. Weekly active users showed a similar trend, with numbers mostly in the range of 130K to 150K, reaching a high of approximately 154K in the same mid-February period.

SumUp experienced a fluctuation in downloads, starting at 29K in late December and dipping to 20K in early January, followed by a gradual increase to around 24K towards the end of the quarter. Active users saw a slight decline from 409K to around 384K over the quarter.

For SumUp Bank, downloads began at 9K and saw a decrease, reaching a low of around 7K in late March. However, weekly active users displayed growth, starting at 40K and rising to a peak of around 47K in late March.

Shopify - Your Ecommerce Store showed a download range from 5K to 6K, with a noticeable spike to around 6.6K in early March. The weekly active users remained stable, with a slight upward trend from 38K to over 43K.

Lastly, Payoneer exhibited an increase in downloads from 3.5K to 5.6K in early February, followed by a leveling off around 4.5K towards the end of the quarter. Active users showed a steady increase from 16K to nearly 19K.
